What is Spravato® (esketamine)?

Esketamine is the S-enantiomer of ketamine, delivered as a nasal spray under physician supervision. Unlike SSRIs or SNRIs, it targets the brain's glutamate system (the NMDA receptor) to enhance neuroplasticity. Many patients experience meaningful symptom relief in hours to days rather than weeks.

Proven, rapid results

In a Phase 3 randomized trial of adults with major depressive disorder and active suicidal ideation, esketamine plus standard care produced significantly greater improvement on the MADRS depression scale at 4 to 24 hours compared with placebo plus standard care, with benefits maintained during the 4-week acute phase.
